Al Bourgeois Plumbing and Heating company started in 1966 by Al Bourgeois (1925-1997). He returned from World War II and trained in plumbing at Delgado Trade School. Then, he obtained his plumbing license and, as a result, held a management position with one of the top plumbing companies in the city. Afterwards, he founded the company in 1966. Mr. Bourgeois was active in the business, working with residential plumbing and commercial plumbing in New Orleans until his death in 1997. He always credited his many friends and loyal customers for the success of the company.
Brian Bourgeois joined the company in 1976 after graduating from Brother Martin High School. Then, he managed Al Bourgeois Plumbing until his death in early 2002. After, Carl Bourgeois joined his father in 1977 and currently manages the day to day operations. He rejoined the company in 2002 after managing a Baton Rouge construction and repair company for seven years.
Pat Trosclair, Al’s daughter, has worked in the company’s office for fifteen years and is currently handling the bookkeeping duties for the company. The mainstay of the company has always been Pat Bourgeois. She was instrumental in helping her husband get the company started in 1966 and has worked faithfully wherever she is needed in the company’s office since its inception.
The company has always been family owned and operated. We are proud to have three members of the third generation working as qualified residential and commercial plumbers in New Orleans for Al Bourgeois Plumbing and Heating.
